I remember the first time I ran into Xerneas in Pokémon Y. I had no clue what a “Fairy-type” was. It just looked cool and glowed like it meant business.
Since then, I’ve come across more Fairy Legendaries while solving PokeDoku puzzles and building fun challenge teams. And every time, I found myself wishing for a clean list that showed who actually counted and who didn’t.
That’s why I made this.
This article lists every Legendary Pokémon with the Fairy type. Simple and clear, no fluff. You’ll see where they come from, how they battle, and some fun facts too.
If you’re playing games like Wordle Pokémon, filling out your Pokédex, or just want to learn more about Fairy-types, you’re in the right spot.
What does it mean to be a Fairy Legendary Pokémon?
Fairy-type Pokémon are known for being magical, mysterious, or nature-themed. They often look cute or graceful, but are surprisingly strong. You’ll find them using charm, light, or energy-based moves.
They’re strong against Dragon, Fighting, and Dark types.
They’re weak to Poison and Steel moves.
And they resist Bug, Dark, and Fighting attacks.
So yeah, they may sparkle, but they bite.
Legendary Pokémon are super rare, often one-of-a-kind, and tied to big stories in the games and anime. They usually show up once in a game and are linked to that region’s history or mythology.
They’re known for:
- Being tough to catch
- Having higher base stats
- Showing up in big game events, cutscenes, or movies
You’ll often find them guarding something, causing chaos, or saving the world.
So, what’s a Fairy Legendary Pokémon?
It’s a Pokémon that’s both Fairy-type and Legendary in status. That means it’s rare, powerful, has a backstory, and also uses Fairy-type moves.
Some are sweet, some are fierce, but all of them are as the name says, LEGENDARY!
Full List of Fairy Legendary Pokémon
These are all the Pokémon that are both Legendary and Fairy-type, either fully or as part of a dual typing. Some appear in the anime, others only in the games, but all of them have left a mark.
If you’re looking to build a team, solve a puzzle, or just learn more, this list covers it.
1. Enamorus (Incarnate Forme)
Enamorus came out of nowhere in Legends: Arceus. She’s part of the Forces of Nature group, like Tornadus and Landorus, but she’s got a more elegant and love-based theme.
Her Incarnate form floats like the others, but she’s the only female in the group. She uses Fairy/Flying typing, which is pretty rare. Her move “Springtide Storm” fits her theme and hits both enemies in battle.
In lore, she represents love and the start of spring.
Type: Fairy / Flying
Debut: Gen VIII
Region: Hisui
2. Enamorus (Therian Forme)
This version of Enamorus looks like a snake with wings. Her stats change a bit, becoming more defensive with less speed, but she’s still a Fairy/Flying type.
You can switch forms in the game once you have the item. Most people either love or hate the design, but she’s strong no matter what.
Therian Enamorus is bulkier and more defensive, great for setup teams. The change in form also reflects her shift from grace to might.
Type: Fairy / Flying
Debut: Gen VIII
Region: Hisui
3. Fezandipiti
Fezandipiti is one of the “Loyal Three” from The Teal Mask DLC in Scarlet and Violet. Don’t let the feathers fool you. This bird fights fiercely.
Its typing is Fairy/Fighting, which is uncommon and fun to play with. The backstory is a little darker than expected, which makes it more interesting.
It’s known for using “Toxic Chain,” a move that can poison on contact. In the DLC, it’s tied to betrayal and twisted loyalty.
Type: Fairy / Fighting
Debut: Gen IX
Region: Kitakami
4. Tapu Bulu
Tapu Bulu protects one of the islands in Alola. He’s the grass guardian and moves slower than the others but hits hard.
His design is kind of like a bull with a bell. Not everyone uses him in battle, but he’s bulky and has great resistance options.
He creates Grassy Terrain, which heals and powers up Grass moves. In the anime, he helped Ash train before his big battles.
Type: Grass / Fairy
Debut: Gen VII
Region: Alola
5. Tapu Fini
Tapu Fini is the water guardian of Alola and probably the most defensive of the four Tapus. She’s great in doubles thanks to Misty Terrain, which reduces Dragon-type moves and status effects.
She’s not flashy but super reliable if you know how to use her.
Her ability to shut down status moves makes her a favorite in competitive formats. In the anime, she has a calm but intimidating presence.
Type: Water / Fairy
Debut: Gen VII
Region: Alola
6. Tapu Koko
Tapu Koko is the electric guardian of Melemele Island. He’s fast and has a strong offensive presence with Electric Surge. He’s probably the most popular of the Tapus because of his speed and cool design.
Used a lot in competitive play for a while.
He appears often in the Sun and Moon anime, even giving Ash a Z-Crystal. Tapu Koko plays an active role in protecting the island and watching over trainers.
Type: Electric / Fairy
Debut: Gen VII
Region: Alola
7. Tapu Lele
Tapu Lele looks peaceful, but it can hit really hard with Psychic moves. She sets up Psychic Terrain, boosting Psychic-type attacks and blocking priority moves.
She’s more of a glass cannon but still really good in doubles and Trick Room teams.
With the right team support, Tapu Lele can sweep through teams easily. Her anime appearance showed her healing powers and playful nature.
Type: Psychic / Fairy
Debut: Gen VII
Region: Alola
8. Xerneas
Xerneas was the first Legendary to introduce the Fairy type. It’s the “Life Pokémon” and has a really cool glowing antler design.
In battle, it uses Geomancy, a move that can make it sweep entire teams if you let it set up. One of the strongest pure Fairy-types ever made.
Xerneas starred in Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, bringing life back to a dying forest. Its Aura Break ability counters Dark-type threats like Yveltal.
Type: Fairy
Debut: Gen VI
Region: Kalos
9. Zacian (Hero of Many Battles)
This is Zacian without the sword. Still fast, still dangerous. It’s a pure Fairy-type in this form, and you’ll meet it first in Pokémon Sword before it gets powered up.
Great typing, solid movepool, and high Speed make it worth training.
It still gets Intrepid Sword, which raises its Attack on entry, even without the Steel Form. In the Galar lore, it’s one of two heroes who saved the region.
Type: Fairy
Debut: Gen VIII
Region: Galar
10. Zacian (Crowned Sword)
When Zacian holds the Rusted Sword, it becomes Fairy/Steel, one of the best type combos out there. It gets a major Attack boost and turns into a competitive monster.
It’s been banned in some formats because of how broken it was. If you want power, this is it.
Its speed and power combo made it one of the top threats in the Sword and Shield meta. This form represents the warrior side of Galar’s history.
Type: Fairy / Steel
Debut: Gen VIII
Region: Galar
These ten Legendary Fairy Pokémon all bring something different to the table. Some with speed, others with defense or lore.
From collecting to battling or simply exploring the world of Pokémon through the anime or games, this list gives you a solid place to start.
